How We Got Started
Meet Our Team Leader
Edith Hernandez started Tekton Construction Builders, Inc. with the vision of delivering outstanding, quality workmanship for home remodeling and construction. “In industrial construction, it’s all about how many homes we support. But I want to work with the homeowners–the people– to build what they are looking for,” says Edith. So after working in construction for over twenty years, Edith, with her son, Jesus, began Tekton Construction Builders in 2015, intending to provide personalized, quality home improvement and renovation.
Tekton Construction Builders delivers one-of-a-kind and detailed handiwork, no matter how small or big the project. Edith’s mission is to create home improvements that customers will treasure and enjoy for years to come.
Edith Hernandez
Edith first specialized in woodworking and carpentry and picked up many more specialties throughout her time working in the construction industry. She has been serving the wider Bay Area for more than 25 years.
Antonio Villalobos
Antonio finds great satisfaction when he sees a project through to the end. That’s why, as the foreman, he oversees the team’s progress, ensuring their efficiency and getting the resources they need. Antonio began in construction over 20 years ago, starting in roofing, then picking up additional construction trades such as electricity and carpentry.
Marvin Garcia
Marvin is Tekton Builder’s assistant foreman and Antonio’s right-hand man. Before joining Tekton Builders, Marvin worked in demolition. Over his 16 years of construction experience, he also acquired skills in carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and paint finishing. He joined Edith’s team in 2018.
Roberto Escobedo
Roberto first began in construction by rebuilding fences in Napa, California, to help the area recover from wildfires. Roberto enjoys learning new skills – he loves the Tekton Builders’ team and projects because it’s given him the chance to constantly explore new trades. He joined Tekton as a construction apprentice and has been with the team since 2020.
Fernando Gomez
Fernando assists Edith and her team on various projects as Tekton Builder’s construction apprentice. He first began working on general carpentry, however his favorite projects are ones that are more ‘architectural,’ such as building structures and foundations.
